Seven guidelines for successful cooperation between non-governmental organizations and SMEs
How do small businesses understand and implement corporate social responsibility? Do they have resources to help solve social problems? Answers to these questions provides the first empirical study of Bulgaria, covering 309 small and medium-sized companies at home and tracked factors, practices and outcomes of their CSR activities in the period 2012-2014 year. Its author was Dr. Marina Stefanova, a longtime expert and researcher of CSR in Bulgaria.

International scientific conference on "Economic challenges: migration, globalization, sustainability, policies'
A two-day international conference was held in the Aula "Maxima" in the University of National and World Economy. The conference was organized by "Economics" Department of World Economy, Economics Faculty of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski "and the Institute for Economic Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The selected thematic areas were: migration, globalization, sustainability, policies.
A special business panel "Global economic challenges and local business stability" on which were presented the views of all stakeholders - namely, business, educational institutions, industry associations, clusters and media was organized for a first year. Dr. Marina Stefanova was the moderator of the discussion where all participants united on the idea that support between businesses and education based on respect and mutual enrichment is crucial to a stable economy and training of new employees in the direction of sustainable management.

Iskren Krastev from GEM Bulgaria and Marina Stefanova from "Kauzi" spoke about the role of the entrepreneur and what policy is needed to achieve lasting success; how to cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit and what is the role of the various key partners.
